This week I have hit my first obstacle of becoming a family of 5! With Easter Hols coming up I thought it would be nice to head to the coast for a couple of days. I love Portsmouth and haven’t been since I was pregnant with my oldest child so thought that would be a nice place to head for. However, can I find a hotel or B&B that will allow 5 of us in one room – No! I can’t even find anywhere than has adjoining rooms. I can’t believe it. Having three children seems to be more common these days so why are none of the mainstream hotels allowing for this?
When I was pregnant it had crossed my mind about foreign holidays and how that could be problematic but after speaking to a friend who has three children she said that the best option for foreign holidays is to hire a villa. We have had a villa holiday’s before and loved them so that would be no problem for us. It just never crossed my mind about the odd night away in this country. To be honest I thought there would be more family facilities available in this country as lots of families stay here for their holidays. I AM NOT a camping person so that IS NOT an option, much to my children’s disgust – not that they’ve been but they seem convinced they would love it! I on the other hand have been and will not be going again! So it looks like a trip to the coast this Easter may just have to be a day trip!
